Metempsycho (1963) / music by Armando Sciascia

This one is not easy to describe; its not movie music in the same sense as, say, John Barry, Jerry Goldsmith or what have you. There are no melodies really, no music(!) in a sense. What we have here for the most part are musical notes, trying to establish an atmosphere. It succeeds to a certain extent; the film is apparently a horror film and the music does disorient you (although its not scary in the slightest). Yup, one listen is guaranteed to get you scratching your heads as if to ask "Wha th'fuck is this...?"

I cant say that you will like this, you probably wont ever listen to it more than once, but here it is anyway...

This Metempsycho album is fantastic! What a weird blend of moods and sound effects. I love offbeat stuff like this. It's a real find.

Armando Sciascia knows how to make music. I have met many people who listen to him, and they all agree in the point that Armando S. has a very original style that makes him really special as a performer.
